Founded in September 2011, SANATORIUM initially entered the contemporary art scene in 2009 as an art initiative founded by eight artists. Following its debut exhibition in January 2009, it first served as an exhibit venue for artistic productions by the artists within the body of the initiative for a certain period. Over time, it organized solo or group/curatorial exhibitions with local and foreign artists outside the initiative.
