İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl Üniversitesi, “Vatan Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfı” (VASEV) tarafından 19 Şubat 2009 tarihinde 5839 sayılı kanunla İstanbul’da kurulan bir vakıf üniversitesidir. 

İlk olarak 2009 yılında 10 fakülte, 2 meslek yüksekokul ve üç enstitü ile kurulmuş; 2010-2011-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında ise ilk öğrencilerini olarak 7 fakülte, 2 meslek yüksekokulunda 860 öğrenciyle eğitim-öğretime başlamıştır
