One of the five smaller princes, with an area of ​​0.05 km2, has a width of 185 m and a length of 740 m. It is characterized by its easy flat lands and for this reason it is called flat, and it is considered one of the two islands that is called the island of good or the island Hayizrsız Ada. Like other princes, this island was also a prison where undesirable persons were turned away.

History of the flat island

The island was famous after the coup d'état in Turkey in 1960, and then witnessed the trial and execution of former Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, and a number of politicians including Fattan Rushdie Zorlu, and Hassan Bulatkan. The following period also saw the trial of a number of civilian politicians and the detention of a number of others.

In 1993 the right to use the island was transferred to the Faculty of Water Resources of the University of Istanbul, and then in 1995 left the island and became deserted since then.
