The Mosque of Sokollo Mohammed Pasha, which is the presence of four pieces of black stone brought by Sultan Suleiman the law of the Kaaba. It is located in the Aminonu district of Al Fateh province in the European section of Istanbul.

The architecture of Sinan Agha was built and built in 1571 by order of Muhammad Pasha, who was the supreme martyr of three sultans, the first of whom was Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent at the height of the Ottoman Empire. He married Sultan Asmahan, who oversaw the construction of the mosque and selected the best marble ores in its construction.

The Sokollo Mohammed Pasha Mosque was built on an area that descends over the church of Aya Anastista, which was destroyed a long time before the mosque was built according to the writing on its entrance.

The mosque was built by the architect Sinan Agha. It is an artistic complex in the form of a complex consisting of: the mosque, the college and the takiyeh. It is accessed from the southern door which is located below the level of the square by 5 m. The whole square can be accessed through a stairway after crossing the school's classrooms. In the middle of the square is a vaulted fountain consisting of 12 angles, and the square remains in the shadow of the gradually rising mosque.

The total area of ​​the mosque is 15.30 x 18.80 m 2, covered by a hexagonal dome based on 6 columns with a diameter of 13 m. The mihrab and the pulpit, which are the best examples of the marble works of that era, are attributed to the craftsman Prishmatak Makarnas. The minbar-covered platform, as well as the two sides of the mihrab, are other examples. The complex contains 90 windows, which are mainly distributed on the lateral front and the dome bearing walls. Another characteristic of the mosque is that there are four small pieces of black stone, one under the entrance, the other in the mihrab and the other one in the door of the pulpit and the second on the podium platform. The mosque has only one patio with a single planed balcony built of cut stones. The most interesting of all in the mosque is the walls decorated with Iznik tiles of great beauty. And the lower pillar (elephant man) that holds the main dome, which is 15 m in diameter.

According to the accounts, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent brought the pieces that had been separated from the Black Stone to Istanbul and the architect Sinan Agha installed four of them in Sokollo Mosque. Where the four pieces are located amid the marble stones in the entrance to the mosque and above the mihrab and at the entrance to the pulpit and under the dome of the pulpit, surrounded by a gold-plated frame. According to the founding president of the Sokolu stop, Mohammed Pasha Ibrahim Ijjak, four pieces of black stone were placed in the Sokollo Mosque by the architect Sinan, each of which is the size of the thumb-knot. Sinan placed the largest pieces on the tomb of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.

In Istanbul there are two mosques named Sokollo Mehmed Pasha. One of the collectors is located in the Kaby agony of the Golden Horn. The second is located in the Aminonu area on the way to the Hagia Sophia Museum from Sultanahmet Mosque.

Although the architect Sinan Agha is the architect of both collectors, the Sokollo Mohammed Pasha Mosque in Amignon, the most interesting in terms of location, size and features, is a chapter of black stone. The sun shines through 98 stained-glass windows, giving a sense of the size of the interior.

Although the mosque was named after Mohammed Pasha, his expenses were paid by the endowments of Sokollo Mohammed Pasha and his Sultan Sultan Ismahan; in some books it is called the Mosque of Sultan Ismahan and Sokollo Mohammed Pasha.
