Mudanya

Modanya is a beautiful district of Bursa, embracing dense forests and towering green mountains of magnificent nature on the banks of the Marmara Sea with clear water.

The first to settle in Modania and its age is the Greek Greeks in the seventh century BC and was called in the time of the name of Merla, was conquered by the Macedonian ruler Philip V, which destroyed and built a new city in the name of Abamia after a period of time dominated the city of Byzantines and called it the name of Mutania, Modania became Turkish dialect.

Modania was conquered by the Ottomans under the leadership of Urkhan in 1321 AD and later became one of the areas of the Ottoman Empire. After the First World War, the Ottoman Empire was weakened and its limbs were cut off. This made it vulnerable to the invasion of the imperialist countries in its territory. Among these countries was Greece, which occupied Modania on June 25, (1920), but after the war of liberation fought by the Turkish people liberated Modania from the Greek occupation on 12 January 1922.
