Ahi Chelebi Mosque

One of the most famous mosques in Turkey is located in Gümüşpala Caddesi Ragıp in the Al Fateh district of the European section of Istanbul.

The Ahi Chalabi Mosque is one of the classic Ottoman mosques, one of the most beautiful mosques in Istanbul. The Mosque is also known as Yemişçiler Camii and Kanli Mosque Kanlıfırın Mescidi.

The Mosque of Ahi Chalabi was built between the years 1480 - 1500 AD.

The mosque was designed in a rectangular shape, containing only one minaret and dome supported by two iron belts. In addition to 6 small domes and a tributary from the east.

The mosque was burned twice on 2 July 1539 and 18 May 1653. In 1892, the earthquake was severely damaged. The mosque has been neglected for many years almost a century. In the late 1990s, the restoration work of the mosque was accelerated.
