The Ibrahim Pasha Mosque is located in the Silivrikapi district of the European section of Istanbul.
Ibrahim Pasha, who came to Istanbul as a pickpocket and grew up in Indiron in the Topkapi Palace, rose up to the ministry in the palace. Fatima, the younger sister of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, was married in 1562 and died in 1563.
The architectural complex Sinan Agha was designed and built by order of the minister Hadem Ibrahim Pasha during the period of his ministry under the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, and was completed in the year 1551.
The Hadem Ibrahim Mosque is a square shaped structure, covered by a dome about 12 meters in diameter. The dome supports 8 internal pillars and holds a single stone minaret. The mosque draws attention to its doors, which is one of the most authentic examples of Ottoman classic woodwork, especially with the tiles decorated with abstract flower designs.
