The Mulla Chalabi Mosque is located on Meclis-i Mebusan Street in the Beyoglu district in the European section of Istanbul.
The mosque was designed by the famous architect Sinan Agha, at the request of Judge Mohamed and Soli Effendi. It is not known exactly how the mosque was built, and it is believed to have been built between 1561 and 1562 AD.
The Mulla Chalabi Mosque is built in hexagonal form. It consists of a place of worship of 18.90x16.40 m2 as the main place of prayer and the place of the mihrab with an area of 8.80x460 m 2. This place is covered with a central dome with a diameter of 11.80 m surrounded by 5 semicircles, and is based on six bridges built on six columns. The monolithic porch is located on the right corner of the entrance, which is covered with four domes.
The ten windows opened on the lower dome circle, as well as the two windows on the walls of the mosque, provide the lighting needed by the mosque.
The plaques that adorn the pulpit and the mihrab indicate the continuity of the classical line in its construction.
