The Ottoman Mosque is located on the Barbaros Street in Bishkat on the Yildiz Palace Road in the European section of Istanbul.
The Yildiz Mosque was built in 1880 by the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II, and he was named Hamidiyah. The mosque is rectangular in shape and has one minaret designed in the style of the Almqarnas building, which is up to the top. The dome of the mosque is set on four thick iron columns, decorated and carved with stars on a blue floor.
The mosque has 16 windows, and the window glass adds an extra touch of beauty to the mosque. It also has a lot of classical Ottoman decoration.
The complex contains right and left staircases, up to different rooms, staircases to the right, up to a room reserved for ambassadors, decorated with 18-gauge gold, and left ladders leading to the Sultan's Forum, where the Sultan performs his prayers.
