Rahmi Kog Museum is one of Istanbul's most famous museums, located on the banks of Golden Horn Bay on Haskoy Street in the Beyoglu district of the European section of Istanbul. Founded by renowned businessman and industry entrepreneur Rahmi Koog, the idea was inspired by his visit to the Henry Ford Museum in the United States of America, which began in 1991 and opened to the public on December 13, 1994.
It is the first scientific museum to show the stages of development of transport and communications, industrial equipment, communication tools, electrical appliances and many inventions useful to mankind, has a unique architectural character and occupies a large area of display.
There are several sections of the museum. There is an exhibition of land transport, showing race cars, sports cars, old convertible cars, SUVs and various motorcycles. In the railway transport exhibition there is the old Istanbul tram, the Sultan transport wagon dating back to 1867, and several types of steam locomotives .
The Maritime Transport Exhibition includes cargo ships, lifeboats, boats dating back to 1951, the exhibition of air transport, which contains aircraft dating back to 1941-1979, aircraft engines and mini models of various types of aircraft.
The exhibition features types of 19th-century motors. The exhibition features telegraph, photograph and sound amplifiers. It features an exhibition of scientific models and a puppet.
