The first and only museum of its kind in Turkey was established in 1968 at the Sultan Selim School located in Al Watan Street and then after the restoration of Beyazid School by the General Directorate of Awqaf.
The Turkish Calligraphy Museum is located in the Beyazid School of Biazid College in the Güngören district of the European section of Istanbul.
Among the collection of antiques exhibited in the museum are copies of the Holy Qur'an in Kufic script, the copy line and the investigator, manuscripts of Moroccan and Indian origin, paintings, seals, mirror writings, licenses, ornaments and colored glass paintings.
In the section of the Holy Writings: the cover of the Kaaba, hair from the chin of the Prophet (ﷺ), a bottle containing dust from the tomb of the Prophet (ﷺ), paintings depicting the city and Medina and the Muzdalifah. Have a historical or moral value.
