According to the circular, hospitals that are able to receive patients and their companions from outside the country must meet a set of conditions, the most important of which is that those hospitals have the International Health Tourism Authority certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging devices must be available in these hospitals, provided that the license and activity permit include the branches of diseases that are treated within the framework of international health tourism.
Hospitals must also contain special intensive care units, and these units must have a floor, corridor, entrances and exits separate from the main entrances and exits of the hospital, in addition to allocating separate wards for patients coming from outside the country as part of international health tourism.
